Does Apple Still Signing iOS 4.1 & iOS 4.2.1 For iPhone 3GS & iPod (ipod touch firmware 3.1.3 download) touch 2G ? - All about the iPhone (blog)

We are already aware of the fact that Apple stops signing older firmware version as soon as newer ones are pushed into iTunes for download. But it seems that there are some unexpected changes when it comes to iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2.1 software versions. Reportedly, an iDB user has tried to confirm about it for the last 3 weeks through SHSHit app. The SHSHit application via Cydia allows you to save SHSH blobs of current firmware version right onto your iDevice, that is, without the need of attaching it to your PC/Mac.

However, we haven't tried restoring to iOS 4.1 yet. If Apple, by any chance is restoring iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3GS or iPod (ipod touch firmware 3.1.3 download) touch 2G then it would be  a golden opportunity for factory unlocked users to get their untethered JailBreak. Otherwise, you can restore to previous firmware if you earlier saved your SHSH Blobs using TinyUmbrella. Please note that the solution doesn't apply to iPhone 4 or iPod (ipod touch firmware 3.1.3 download) touch 3G/4G users right now. We have been also told that Apple is also signing iOS 4.2.1 along with iOS 4.1.

Let's know in the comment section if you have come across the same situation.
