New version of iSHSHit has been released. The Cydia app allows you to back up your SHSH blobs of the latest firmware iOS 4.3.4 and iOS 4.2.9. You can save SHSH blobs of iPhone, iPad and iPod (ipod touch firmware 3.1.3 download) Touch running iOS 4.3.4 or iOS 4.2.9 for Verizon iPhone 4.
SHSHit is available in BigBoss Repository. After jailbreaking your device, you have to open Cydia and search for iSHSHit and let it to be installed on your device. The app will make an icon on your Springboard after the installation is done. Run the app and click Save. iSHSHit will start saving your SHSH blobs.
If you are still unaware of this application. Here is what the official description says:
"iSHSHit allows you to back up device firmware SHSH blobs from Apple directly on your device for later downgrading. It automatically uses the Cydia On File service in the background, so it's a great way to ensure that your SHSH is stored by Cydia. iSHSHit can also email your SHSH blobs to you for more permanent storage".
iSHSHit is much easier to use although you can also use TinyUmbrella to save SHSH blobs which is a famous tool for this purpose.
What are SHSH Blobs?
For the people who are not familiar, SHSH Blob is a signature verification file against Apple Server. It verifies that the iDevice is running the latest version of iOS. Saving SHSH blobs will allow you to restore to previous version. While doing so Apple will stop you doing the restore process. To make this happen you have to send a request to different servers which forwards SHSH blobs to iTunes by just showing it that its a new version of iOS. This is how TinyUmbrella or iSHSHIT works to help you save SHSH blobs.
